On Monday, December 2, 2019, the UGA 500万彩票’s Tifton campus opened its doors to veterinarians from Central and South America—the CVM’s first international workshop in Tifton, GA. The workshop, coordinated by clinical associate professor of food animal health and management Pedro Melendez, was developed to provide updated knowledge on dairy production medicine. Material was presented entirely in Spanish to a group of 16 veterinarians from five Latin American countries: Argentina, Chile, El Salvador, Guatemala, and Mexico. Throughout the week, the group attended intensive daily lectures and scientific interactions with a multi-institutional team of subject matter experts from Auburn University, Colorado State University, the National University of La Pampa – Argentina, the University of Florida, the 乔治亚大学, Texas A&M University, and Zoetis. The program ended on Saturday after a trip to a commercial dairy farm in Florida, and all attendees were awarded a Certificate in Dairy Production Medicine.
